FMB FM BANK FM BANK Announces Retirement of John Blume and Promotion of Scott DeBrito to Bank President FM BANK - Fergus Falls announces that John Blume is retiring as President of the bank effective January 12, 2024. Scott DeBrito will step into John's position as the new President upon John's retirement. John has worked for FM BANK - Fergus Falls, formerly Security State Bank of Fergus Falls, for 22 years. For the first eleven years he worked alongside Paul Lindholm while the bank was owned by Paul, Ruth, Rebecca, John and Matthew Lindholm. John continued as President after the bank was acquired by Steve Lindholm, Mary Jane Lindholm and John Virnig in 2012. Throughout his employment, John developed close relationships with many FM BANK customers and staff. When asked what he has enjoyed the most during his 22 years at the bank, John said "It's always been FM about the personal relationships, both co-workers and customers, and having a part in helping people move forward financially". There will be a retirement celebration for John on January 10th at FM BANK from 2-4pm. The bank invites the community to celebrate with John and thank him for his service to the bank and the community. Member B FDIC Cory Thompson has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending. Cory has been with the bank since 2007 and lives in Fergus Falls with his wife Kathy and has 3 grown children. Cory is involved in many community organizations including Sertoma, United Way, Bethel Church, Dollars for Scholars, Hillcrest Booster Club, and has helped coach the Hillcrest Football team. Arleen King has been promoted to Universal Banker. Arleen has been with the bank since 2015. Arleen volunteers throughout the community including at schools, Walk of Flags, and Meal on Wheels. Arleen enjoys camping (especially camp fires), hiking, and riding motorcycles. Arleen is a proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren and loves spending time with family. EQUAL HOUSING LENDER Scott DeBrito has been with the bank for 16 years and is in an ideal position to fill John's responsibilities. Although John will be missed, Scott's long tenure and leadership in the bank will provide customers and staff with a smooth transition. Scott commented that "Working with John over the past 16+ years has been a very enjoyable experience. Not only has John been a wonderful mentor, he has been a personal role model and a good friend. I wish John and his family all the best in his retirement and look forward to continuing my career at FM BANK in my hometown of Fergus Falls". Other Recent Promotions at FM BANK. JP has been with the bank since 2016 and lives in Ashby, MN with his wife Chelsy and their daughter. JP farms with his father near Ashby where they raise corn and soybeans, and have a cow/calf operation. Amanda Aaberg has been promoted to Credit Analyst. Amanda has been with the bank since 2020 working as a teller until her recent graduation from MSUM (Moorhead) where she obtained her Bachelors degree in accounting. Amanda enjoys horses and helping her dad on their family farm near Rothsay, MN.
